GENDER BASED VIOLENCE

Gender based violence  (GBV) is violence that is directed at an individual based on his or her biological sex OR gender identity. It includes physical, sexual, verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse, threats, coercion, and economic or educational deprivation, whether occurring in public or private life. In Namibia this is becoming an everyday story. Women are being killed, kids are being raped and human trafficking is another everyday sad story. We do not know what they are doing to the ladies out there.

We are no longer safe out there. We are now scared of going outside of our homes. We need to be careful out there. We need to leave our homes in groups for safety.
