GENDER BASED VIOLENCE

Gender based violence    (GBV) is  violence  that is directed at an individual  based  on his or her biological sex OR  gender  identity. It includes physical, sexual, verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse, threats, coercion, and economic or educational deprivation, whether occurring in public or private life. In Namibia this is becoming an everyday story. Women are being killed, kids are being raped and human trafficking is another everyday sad story. We do not know what they are doing to the ladies out there.  We are no longer safe out there. We are now scared of going outside of our homes. We need to be careful out there. We need to leave our homes in groups for safety.

SELF RESPECT ✊🏽

Self respect can not be hunted. It can not be purchased. It is not for sale. It can never be fabricated out of public relations. It comes to us when we are alone, in quiet moments, in quiet places, when we suddenly realize that, knowing the good, we have done it; knowing the beautiful, we have served it; knowing the truth, we have spoken it."  If a person does not have any self-respect they can not make any decisions for themselves. They will wait to be pushed into situations they either do or don't want to do. People will also take advantage of them and eventually that person will end up being cheated. In life a person needs to develop a sense of self-respect for themselves in order to make decisions for themselves and be able to survive in this world.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER TO HUMANS

Water is an essential nutrient and plays a key role in the human body. We can survive up to several weeks without food, but only a few days without water. Every system in the body, from cells and tissues, to vital organs requires water to function.   Did you know that: Water carries nutrients to all cells in our body and oxygen to our brain Water allows the body to absorb and assimilate minerals, vitamins, amino acids, glucose and other substances Water flushes out toxins and waste Water helps to regulate body temperature  Water acts as a lubricant for joints and muscles

LIVING IN CLEAN ENVIRONMENT

Living in a clean environment is a necessity of every human being. The environment around us is an essential part of human survival. As humans we Live in homes and therefore we should ensure that our places are hygienically clean.I like to believe that people who do not care about the environment, simply do not understand how important it is to all of us and that it does not affect them directly. The more you don’t care about our environment, the more it will become polluted with contaminants and toxins that have a harmful impact on our health. Air pollution can cause respiratory diseases and cancer, among other problems and diseases. Water pollution can lead to typhoid, diarrheal diseases, and another one. To avoid all these, we should make sure to keep our area clean.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FRIENDSHIPS

Friends Help Us Interact With Just About Everyone  The people we bring into our lives as friends will show us how to forgive, laugh, and make conversation. The basic components of any relationship, from our marriage to our coworkers, are all founded in friendship. We learn how to interact with people because of our friends, even the ones that are opposite from us or share a different worldview. We don’t just talk with others but learn from them. We understand the process of meeting new acquaintances and finding out what makes them tick. These people help push us out of our comfort zones while still providing a safe emotional space for us to be totally ourselves.

FAKE FRIENDS

Everybody is not your friend. Just because they hang around you and laugh with you doesn’t mean you are your friends. People pretend well. At the end of the day, real situations expose fake people, so pay attention. You need to be careful and be aware about the people around you. Fake friends can pretend to be good friends then you start being committed to them until they blind you. You’ll feel like you have a best friend that you can trust so much but that person turns out to be just the total opposite. Always keep your eyes open and once betrayed don’t ever expect whoever betrayed you to change.

WHY SELF-LOVE IS THE BEST LOVE

With self-love comes the power of acceptance. When you practice self-love you embrace your flaws and your weaknesses. You are accepting of yourself and those around you. When you are accepting yourself you never have to look to others for approval, and you will always feel secure with who YOU are.  They say that you are the only person that you can count on and that could not be any more accurate. When you love yourself you will always have someone there to get you through. It is so much easier to survive the low points in life when you are your own hero and do not have to wait for someone to save you.

BE HAPPY.

Happiness is a choice, not a result. Nothing will make you happy until you can choose to be happy. No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy. Your happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you.

RESPECT WOMEN

A woman is not an object. She is not something, she is someone. You treat a woman with respect. She is not your toy. She doesn’t owe you anything just cause you are a man. When she comes to you for comfort, you listen to her; you don't make a move on her. Grow up and start treating women how they deserve to be treated.  Whenever you think about disrespecting a woman, think about how you were born into this world.  Love and respect woman. Look to her not only for comfort, but for strength and inspiration and the doubling of your intellectual and moral powers.

VALUE YOUR GRANDPARENTS

There are many so many reasons why we should value our grandparents. There’s no doubt that grandparents engender a tremendous sense of stability and connection when they are included in the upbringing of children. Grandparents help children to understand their place in the family hierarchy, they give children a different kind of love. Grandparents are also believed to  give good luck and for things to go well to anything they pray. When grandparents see their grandchildren, they see the future and experience a sense a sense of continuity that fills them with contentment. There, in their grandchildren, is the physical evidence of the flow of life, the past connecting with the future.
